LIFE FOR RELIEF AND DEVELOPMENT
Udhiyah

There are millions of Muslims who are faced with extreme poverty because of war, political conflicts, disease and drought. For many families in Muslim countries like Palestine, Iraq, Syria, Somalia, Sierra Leone, Ghana and Afghanistan, meat is considered a luxury item out of their reach.

During this holiday season, one of the most important acts of worship is the sacrifice of a sheep, goat or cow as an Udhiyah/Qurbani. Will you share meat from this highly recommended practice with suffering people around the world?

After filling out the donation form, choose the country you would like your gift to go to and LIFE will take care of the rest. LIFE always uses fresh meat, never frozen or canned, and on the first day of Eid, the meat will be immediately distributed in the country you’ve chosen.

The meat we’ll donate on your behalf will help to lift the spirits of those who receive it, by letting them know that someone far away cared enough to help them.

Udhiyah

Udhiyah in Arabic translates to any animal of the ‘an’aam class (i.e., Cow, Sheep, Goat, or Camel). Udhiyah/Qurbani is the sacrifice of the animals mentioned, after the Eid prayer. It is among the great rituals of Islam and a tradition of his blessed messengers.
