On March 28, 2025, a 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar, followed by a 6.4-magnitude aftershock, causing massive destruction from its epicenter near the Myanmar city of Mandalay that extended as far Bangkok Thailand, more than 1,000 kilometers away. Hundreds of people are confirmed dead and over 750 people were reported injured in Myanmar.

LIFE’s emergency team mobilized immediately to provide aid including food baskets, clean water, hygiene kits and shelter for the families affected by the earthquake.
