In October 2017, Life’s emergency team traveled to Puerto Rico to distribute aid to the survivors of Hurricane Maria.
Items including rice, flour, canned vegetables, vegetable oil, tomato sauce, canned tuna, juices, bread, cereal, milk, canned fruit, paper plates, cups, toothpaste, toothbrushes, diapers for adults and children, detergent, face and dish soap, bleach, deodorant, hand sanitizer, alcohol wipes, first aid kids, Benadryl, mosquito repellant, solar batteries and solar lamps were procured.
The team distributed to families in the city of Carolina and in a country club that functions as a shelter for senior citizens, to hundreds of families in the city of Morovis, the city of Utuado and to families in Trujiho Alto, where supplies were distributed to a nonprofit institution that provides services to physically and mentally disabled adults.
