Life Distributes Winter Jackets in Lebanon

More than 25% of Lebanese citizens are living in poverty, not including the many refugees that are residing there. The U.N. cannot adequately support the huge refugee population in Lebanon, leaving many forced to find work to survive. Many families are forced to go hundreds and even thousands of dollars into debt to cover unexpected bills, like medical bills. The brutal winter season increases the risk of cold-related diseases, with many lacking the sufficient resources necessary to live.

To relieve some of those who are without the necessities to live in the winter, Life for Relief and Development distributed 500 winter jackets in Lebanon, with 250 in the region of Akkar and 250 in the Tripoli area.
