This project was very successful with 100,175 families totaling over 601,000 individuals receiving freshly sacrificed Udhiyah meat packages. Life would like to thank its donors and partners for making this Udhiyah season a success.
Life for Relief and Development staff and partners implemented Udhiyah on behalf of Life's donors during the 4 days of Eid-Ul-Adha in the following countries:
Afghanistan – 6 cows sacrificed and 437 families in Kamah district (Gardab, Mirzakhil, Bazidkhil, Meetakhil, Sangarsrai, Gaheek, Shailam, Dargaliwalia, Shirgar villages) received meat
Bangladesh – 35 cows and 24 goats sacrificed and 1368 families in Panchagarh, Thankurgaon, Dinajpur, Nilphamari, Rangpur, Kurigram, Lalmonirhat, Gaibandha, Joypurhat, Bogra, Shirajganj, Rajshahi, Barguna, Kashtia, Chuadanga, Dhaka, Chapainawabganj and Netrokona received meat
Ethiopia – 17 cows, 291 sheep and 110 goats sacrificed and 11,472 families in Biddimo town and surrounding areas and Chamari villages received meat
Ghana – 6 cows sacrificed and 400 families in Tinkon, Redco and Madina Zongo received meat
Haiti – 4 cows sacrificed and meat was distributed to over 800 families at Masjid Al-Noor outside Port au Prince and Masjid Al-Tawheed, Haiti Islam and Al-Fateh in Port au Prince
India – 72 animals and 28 goats sacrificed and 1233 families in Hyderabad city, Warangal Urban and Sindhnoor District Raichur (Badadarpura, Tolichowki, Abepet, Sayeedabad, Yakutpura, Charminar, Goshamahal, Golconda, Musheerabad, Wadi-e-huda, Serilingampally, Qilwath, Murad Nagar, IICD Azampura, Kairtabad, Nampally) received meat
Iraq – 10 cows sacrificed and meat was distributed to 800 families in Mosul, Shaqlawa, Shorash and Kasnezan Erbil
Kenya – 8 cows, 78 sheep and 45 goats sacrificed and 4,021 families in Isiolo County (Merti town, Mata Arba, Munada Nur, Saleti, Riga, Korbesa, Biliqi, Lakele, Goteruba, Awarsitu, Butesa Godda, Bulesa Dida) received meat
Mali – 5 cows sacrificed and meat was distributed to 250 poor and needy families in Missiriko Diassa, Mancourani Village and Sanoubougou Village
Myanmar – 34 cows sacrificed and families in A Nouk Ywe Village, BuMay Village, Kyauk Taw Village, Kyin Ni Pyin and Min Bya Tsp received meat
Pakistan – 16 cows, 31 sheep/goats sacrificed and 658 families in Muzzafargarah, Rajan Pur, Turbat and Hattian received meat
Palestine – 11 cows West Bank and 9 cows sacrificed in Gaza. Meat was distributed to 1214 poor and needy families in Jabaliya, Laya House, Al Mashara, Port Gaza, Zeytouna, Shajaria, Al Bala, Zuweidah, Nasieriet Camp 2, Nasieriet Block C, Al Magraka, Khan Younis, Rafaa and Al Faqari in Gaza and 1200 families in Mukhayam Noor Shams, Mukhamy Tokaram, Kafr Roman, Tolkaram City, Anbata, Deir Sharf, Kafr Labd, Faraoon, Al-Fand Kamya, Jenin, Romana, Al-Teeba, Mukhaym Jenin, Kalkalya, Dar Al-Yateem Al Arabi Kalkalya, Dar Al-Yateen Tolkaram, Buzarya, Barkeen, Sabah Al-Khair Khorabi in the West Bank and Al-Naserah, Ayloot and Yafa Al-Naserah in the 48 area
Senegal – 22 cows sacrificed and 805 families received meat in Touba Nindy, Halia and Quartier des Santhiane
Sierra Leone – 6 cows sacrificed and meat was distributed to 400 poor and needy families in Upper Allentown, Lower Mamboreh, Fogbo Village, Lungi and Rogbalan
Somalia – 74 cows, 76 sheep and 185 goats sacrificed and 17,430 families in Banadir region (Hodan, Wadajr, Hamarweye, Daynile) Lower Shabele (Afgoye) Puntland (Bari, Bosaaso, Mudug, Burtinle) and Awdal (Boroma) received meat
Sudan – 12 cows, 26 sheep and 35 goats sacrificed and 3,110 families in Debelawet, Gulsa Humeday, Sheik Gabel, Ad Ashat, Kerteyey, Fedayeeb, Mohamed Ferej, Shembob, Togley, Wedshery, Shembob, Togley, Wedsheryfy, Selkeyay, Omsafarey, Bebet, Amara and Fato villages received meat
Syria – 101 sheep and 1 cow sacrificed and meat was distributed to 2697 displaced and poor and needy families in Rural Damascus (Misraba, Arbin, Duma, Harsata, Qasemiyah, Jarba, Saqba, Jisrein, Beitsawa, Ksfr Batna and Bahariya)
Turkey – 17 sheep sacrificed and meat was distributed to the poor and needy in Gaziantep
USA – 119 sheep sacrificed and 800 families throughout Detroit, Michigan and Toledo, Ohio received meat
