For some time now, the municipal of Typ, located in Senegal, has been facing challenges with obtaining clean water for their community. Their main water source provided salty water, which cannot be used for drinking.
LIFE for Relief and Development stepped in to provide Typ with an electrical water pump, containing a 1,000-liter tank and five water taps. This 41-meter deep water pump was hand dug by Foundation 221, providing water to over 30,000 people in the municipal.
The mayor of Typ honored the community with his presence during the grand opening of the electrical water pump,
donated by LIFE.
