Winter Coat Distribution in Afghanistan

Writer's picture: Life USALife USA

The winter months can be harsh to anyone without the proper attire necessary to survive. Specifically, in Afghanistan, an estimated 40% of people are living under the line of poverty.

Life for Relief and Development was fortunate to have over 200 winter coats donated for distribution in Kabul by the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). The coats we handed out by Life’s staff to those in need on December 27, 2019, after arriving in Kabul on December 23, 2019. Many recipients of the coats said that they were the warmest coats they have ever worn.

Life would like to thank PETA for the donation of the coats that made this project possible.
